This presentation is for persons who know nothing about soccer and those who love this "beautiful game". This presentation covers the history of soccer/football, both men’s and women’s, in the US and worldwide, with special emphasis on the World Cup. I will use popular media (Ted Lasso, Fever Pitch) and information and videos from FIFA, the official organization overseeing the World Cup. I will preview the upcoming 2026 Men’s World Cup that takes place across the US, Canada, and Mexico (the first continent-wide World Cup).
