Meet the Instructors

Learn more about the financial professionals who teach Financial Strategies for Retirement through the University of Dayton’s Special Programs and Continuing Education office.

Experienced financial professionals, practical retirement education.

Financial Strategies for Retirement is taught by professionals from UBS Financial Services who bring experience in financial planning, investment strategy, retirement planning, risk management, and wealth management.

Tiffany Kellner

Tiffany D. Kellner, CFP®, CDFA®, CPWA®

Financial Advisor

Managing Director – Wealth Management

Tiffany believes that strong financial planning begins with listening. While technical knowledge and resources are essential, she sees trust as something built through active listening and a clear understanding of what matters most to each client.

Her passion for planning was shaped by personal experience after losing her father at a young age and seeing what can happen when the right plans are not in place. Today, she focuses on helping individuals and families make important financial decisions and prepare for life’s uncertainties.

Tiffany has more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Gala of Hope Foundation and is a member of the UBS PAC. She and Eric reside in Centerville with their children, Evan, Emelia, and Adalyn.

Blair is at his best when challenged to think creatively, reduce client concerns, and identify opportunities clients may not have thought possible.

Having worked with his father throughout his career, Blair learned the importance of patience, authenticity, and trust in client relationships. As a Private Wealth Advisor, he specializes in strategic planning for high-net-worth clients.

Blair and his wife are the founders of JoyRide, a nonprofit that brings together special-needs kids and car enthusiasts. A native of Kettering, Blair resides in Centerville with his family and enjoys golf, time in Colorado, boating, and service through Fairhaven Church.

John believes that investing with purpose leads to greater satisfaction. To him, that means helping clients build financial plans around specific goals rather than chasing the market’s latest trend.

His work focuses on planning through multiple life stages, including preparing for retirement, moving through retirement, and building family legacies.

A Centerville, Ohio native, John is passionate about coaching youth sports and spending time with his wife, Heather, and their children, Brody, Gavin, Madison, and Trey.

Brandy Risheill

Brandy R. Risheill, CFP®, CDFA®

Account Vice President

Brandy focuses on financial planning strategies that help clients envision and work toward their future goals. She believes trust is the cornerstone of a successful advisory relationship and is built through commitment, education, and transparent communication.

Her financial services career began with a response to a traditional newspaper advertisement for UBS. Today, she is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and a CERTIFIED DIVORCE FINANCIAL ANALYST® professional.

Joshua Pfeiffer

Joshua D. Pfeiffer, CFP®, CEPA®

Senior Wealth Strategy Associate

Curiosity is a core value for Josh, driving him to learn continuously and seek thoughtful solutions for client challenges. He believes his best work happens when he gets to know clients and their families well enough to understand the full picture of their lives.

As a Senior Wealth Strategy Associate, Josh helps build comprehensive financial plans, design investment portfolios, and assist individuals as they prepare for or continue through retirement.

His passion for financial planning was shaped by his family’s experience during his father’s cancer battle and the uncertainty that can come from not having a financial plan in place.

Timothy Van Simaeys

Timothy W. Van Simaeys, AAMS®

Financial Advisor

Executive Director

Tim finds joy and fulfillment in serving others and has applied a servant-leadership philosophy throughout his personal and professional life.

He began his career in financial services in 1987 and joined UBS in 2004. For much of his time at UBS, Tim served as both a Financial Advisor and Branch Manager. In 2018, he shifted his focus exclusively to serving clients and providing leadership and support to his partners.

Tim volunteers as a mentor for American Corporate Partners and also serves as a Big Brother with Big Brothers Big Sisters Miami Valley.

Daniel Christie

Daniel P. Christie

Financial Advisor

Senior Vice President – Wealth Management

Dan is energized by the opportunity to build and maintain long-term client relationships. He focuses on understanding clients’ hopes and concerns and helping them work toward their financial goals.

He began his financial services career with Merrill Lynch in 1991, later moved to Key Investments and McDonald Investments, and joined UBS after its acquisition in 2007.

Dan attended the University of Dayton on a basketball scholarship, earned Scholar Athlete recognition, and later completed both a bachelor’s degree in engineering and an MBA. He enjoys family time, golf, hiking, and skiing.

Colin Faulkner

Colin C. Faulkner, CFP®

Senior Wealth Strategy Associate

Colin believes financial planning is in his blood, inspired in part by a framed notepad from his grandfather, who tracked stocks during church services.

He believes there is no such thing as a typical financial plan and emphasizes understanding each client’s goals so he can help identify possible roadblocks to success.

Colin values a strong network of advisors and professionals who can help address issues beyond investing. Outside of work, he spends time with family and friends, reads, focuses on health and fitness, and serves in his local community and church.
