Watch the Technology Training

Use this video as an introduction or refresher to the classroom technology used during UDOLLI seminars. Moderators are encouraged to review it before the beginning of each term, particularly when returning after a break or teaching in an unfamiliar classroom.

Your Technology Reference

UDOLLI Technology Handbook

The Technology Handbook is the primary reference for technology used in UDOLLI's on-site seminars. Rather than duplicating those instructions here, use the handbook whenever you need detailed directions or troubleshooting guidance.

Open the Technology Handbook

The handbook includes information about:

  • Standard classroom computers, displays, and controls
  • Using classroom computers or a personal laptop
  • Microphones, audio, and document cameras
  • Preparing and testing technology before class
  • Technology support and Red Lanyard volunteers
  • Troubleshooting common classroom issues
  • End-of-seminar technology procedures

Training and Practice

Classroom technology training is provided as part of moderator orientation before each term. These sessions provide an opportunity to practice with the actual classroom equipment, ask questions, and become comfortable with the technology before participants arrive.

If you are using unfamiliar equipment, bringing your own laptop, or simply want additional practice, contact the UDOLLI office in advance to arrange time in a classroom.

Need Help?

UDOLLI moderators who have questions about classroom technology or would like additional practice may contact the UDOLLI office at udolli@udayton.edu or 937-229-2605.
