Richard Eisenberg is an award-winning “unretired” journalist and podcaster specializing in older Americans, aging, personal finances, work and retirement. He writes The View From Unretirement column for MarketWatch, freelances for the Stanford Center on Longevity Magazine, Kiplinger and AARP, and co-hosts the Friends Talk Money podcast. He is the former Managing Editor of Next Avenue (PBS) and has held senior editorial roles at Money magazine, Good Housekeeping, and Yahoo! He is the author of “How to Avoid a Midlife Financial Crisis” and “The Money Book of Personal Finances.”

Jenny Carlson is the State Director of AARP Ohio, where she leads initiatives to empower people aged 50 and older through advocacy, community outreach, and member engagement. With more than three decades of experience in government, higher education, and healthcare, she has held senior leadership positions including Assistant Director at the Ohio Department of Aging and Associate Vice President for Government Affairs at The Ohio State University Office of Health Sciences. Jenny also served as Chief of Staff to former Lt. Governor Maureen O’Connor and as chief policy advisor over five cabinet agencies for former Governor Bob Taft. She holds a B.S. in Business from The Ohio State University and serves on multiple nonprofit boards.

For 20+ years, Donna has been a champion for the age 60+ population, connecting modern elders with insights and resources to help them age more gracefully. Her own encore chapter continues to evolve, including serving as chair for this symposium and guest host for the Lifelong Flyer podcast, yet Nonna is the title that delights her most.
